scim problem in ubuntu feisty

It will cause openoffice close-crash when I run the default scim input methon, and sometimes it will cause gnome-terminal crash too.
So I install scim-bridge, expect this can solve my problem:

sudo aptitude install scim-bridge

and in feisty, scim-bridge is a dummy package, the scim-bridge-client-gtk package is installed.
and you must do some additional work here:

im-switch -s scim_xim

The result sounds good, so what about your case?
